Create Flags with Periods, Questions & Exclamations
In This Lesson
It's craft time! We will make three flags, each with a different punctuation mark: a period, a question mark, and an exclamation mark. In this activity, students will have fun making the flags while becoming more familiar with the shapes of these punctuation marks.
Activity Prep
Download & print the PDF below
3 Craft Popsicle Sticks (straw or unsharpened pencil could be the alternative)
Glue
Scissors (*Please help with scissors as needed.)
How to Make
Let's create punctuation flags!
Download the PDF and print it out.
Carefully cut out the 3 flags from the printed paper. (*Please ask for assistance with scissors if needed.)
Fold each flag at the center.
Apply glue to the back of the flag.
Place a popsicle stick (or another suitable alternative) at the folded line.
Secure the popsicle stick and fold the paper completely.
Finish the other flags. Now your flags are ready to use!
