In some stores or offices, people take a ticket while waiting in line. In this activity, children will practice counting forward by filling in the next serving numbers in order.

  1. Download & print the PDF.

  2. Each serving station displays “Now serving” and a number. Fill in the following serving numbers in order. Take a look at the example on the top left.

  • CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.A.2 (Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).

  • CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.B.4.c (Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.)
