Printable Anchor Charts for Teaching Punctuation Marks in Kindergarten

Punctuation Marks

Goal

Punctuation: L.K.2.B

The students have learned about end marks in previous exercises (Sentences). In this exercise, we will take some time to review these end punctuation marks. Additionally, we will introduce the exclamation mark (!).

Activity Prep

  • Download & print the PDF below (If you'd like to show it on the screen, that sounds great, too.)

*Two versions are available: pre-made and blank. If you would like to create an anchor chart with students during the lesson, please use the blank version and fill it in.

Dear Teachers

  • Please read the printout using different tones, especially for sentences that end with exclamation marks. It could be fun to act out each sentence together.

Common Core

  • CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.2.B (Recognize and name end punctuation.)
