Number Cards (0-10)

Goal

Counting and Cardinality

This lesson is more of a preparatory activity creating number cards to use in subsequent lessons. Here, students can have fun familiarizing themselves with the numbers they will be using in so many ways!

Activity Prep

  • Download & print the PDF below

  • Coloring tools (dot markers, crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc)

  • Scissors (*Please help with scissors as needed.)

  • Optional: Card sleeves (Pokémon TCG Card sleeves work great!)

  • Optional: Card stock print paper (for sturdier cards)

*We used regular print paper and card sleeves to make the cards sturdier, so they’re easy for little hands to use and reuse!

How to Use

Step 1: Download & print the PDF.

Step 2: Color the numbers, then add the matching dots.

Step 3: Cut out the printouts to create the cards.

Step 4: With these, students can practice counting up to 10.

For example…

◼︎Line them up in order from smallest to biggest

◼︎Practice writing the numbers

◼︎Match the number cards with the dot cards

Reminder

  • Keep these cards safe for future lessons! ♻️
