This roll & move game further reinforces comprehension of plurals by adding "s" or "es" to the end of nouns.


Activity Prep

  • Download & print the PDF below (There are “-s”and “-es” versions)

  • One Die 🎲

  • Game piece for each player (Eraser, Candy, Legos… any small piece you like!)


How to Play

Number of Players: 

  • 2 players (teaming up). *If a student is alone, the teacher can join.

Setup: 

  1. This game has two versions: the (s) version for plural nouns ending in “-s” and the (es) version for those ending in “-es”.

  2. Choose one version and print the PDF as a board game.

Playing: 

  1. Choose the first player.

  2. The first player rolls the die and moves their piece.

  3. Upon landing, say the plural form of the word aloud.

  4. Keep taking turns until everyone has passed or reached the "Goal."
