Activity Prep

Scissors (*Please help with scissors as needed.)
Optional: Card sleeves (Trading card sleeves work great!)
*We used regular print paper and card sleeves to make the cards sturdier, so they are easy for little hands to use and reuse!
How to Use (Setup)
Download & print the PDF.
Cut out the cards from the printout.
How to Use 1: Introducing Words
The teacher introduces measurement words: big and small.
Ask students to name any real-life items they know that are “big” or “small.”
How to Use 2: Comparing Two Images
Show two cards at once (Example: a big dog and a small dog).
Ask questions to students: Which image shows a big dog? Which one shows a small dog?
How to Use 3: Sorting
Randomly spread out all image cards face up on a table.
Students will sort the images into two groups: big and small.
Teachers
Please remind students to keep these cards safe for future lessons! Thank you! ♻️
