My Milk Toof and My Son’s Baby Tooth

Polymer clay ideas: Making your favorite characters

When my son was 5 years old, his first baby tooth came out. As his parents, we felt so happy for him, and we told him about the Tooth Fairy. We told him to place it underneath their pillow, and the Tooth Fairy will visit while you sleep, replacing the lost tooth with money.

He paused a little moment, and he told us he wants to keep it. He said he wants to save them all in the box until he gets many teeth and gets more money. My first thought in my mind was, “Keeping many teeth? Horror!” At the same time, I thought it was brilliant to get more significant money at once, so we got the little wooden treasure box from the craft store and stored it.

Later, he came up with one idea. He wants to make two characters from his favorite book, “My Milk Toof.” We read this book over and over since he was little. It is absolutely adorable, funny, warm, and charming with amazing photos, and two main characters are both baby teeth. Perfect! They might protect his first baby tooth by the treasure box. We both love the idea, and we took a trip to the craft store again.
