Teaching Time AM and PM

Difference between AM and PM

My son suddenly asked, “What are AM and PM?” I asked him why he wanted to know about it, and he replied to me, “I always see them on my iPad.” He was right. AM and PM are mostly on the iPad, smartphone, and computer displays. Yeah, what are these abbreviations A.M. and P.M. stand for?

A.M. stands for Ante Meridiem (Latin for “before midday”)
P.M. stands for Post Meridiem (Latin for “after midday”)

Now we understood these words’ meaning, but still for the first-grader like my son had a hard time to know when or how to use A.M. and P.M., so we watched videos and practice.
