Introducing Perler Beads for Little Kids

Start with 2 Color Design

When my son was 3 years old, he regularly requested me to make Super Mario Bros characters with Perler beads (Iron Beads). So many days, he watched me while I was working on them. One day, right before he turned 4 years old, I asked him, “Would you like to make one?” He refused it once because it looked too hard for him, but when I gave him the design with only 2 colors, he tried and had fun!

Good memories! So many characters we made! We still use them as Christmas tree ornaments.

We used the Lakitu Cloud for the design. He hesitated to try at first, but once he learned how to place these tiny beads, he was so focused and had fun!

Happy learning!
